China's data protection landscape continues to evolve as China has recently passed the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), effective from the 1 November 2021. Together with the Data Security Law (DSL) and the Cyber Security Law (CSL), the Chinese government is building up a stricter regulatory regime for privacy protection, data security and network security. Businesses need to step up their compliance actions before the PIPL coming into effect in less than a month's time.

In this seminar, we will outline the key legal requirements under the PIPL and relevant China laws and provide practical compliance suggestions on what multinational companies should be doing in order to be compliant. We will also share first-hand practical experience from both an internal corporate management perspective and external service provider view with regard to managing in-house data compliance program and getting an organisation prepared with the new laws.

We will provide registered attendees with Zoom link one day prior to the webinar.
