From Trade War to Tech War

The US-China trade war has shaped the Chinese economy in 2018 and will likely do so in 2019 as well. In addition, the trade war could very well mark the beginning of a new long-term rivalry between US and China that will shape the global landscape in many years to come.

At this event, Chief China Economist from Dansk Bank Allan von Mehren will talk about the impact of the trade war in 2019 - and look at how the rivalry is set to change from Trade War to a Tech War. He will dive into China's rise towards a technological super power - and look at what it means for China and not least for Nordic companies in China.

A CEO panel will follow up the presentation, we are delighted to invite three panellists from Nordic chambers to join our CEO panel. They are Mr. Kjeld Stark, President at Danfoss China, Ms. Janne Pihljaniemi, General Manager at Tobii, and Mr. Aaron Yu, Country Head China, Senior Vice President at Stora Enso. The participants will share how the trade war is impacting their business and strategy - and how they see China shaping up as a market in the coming years. What are the opportunities - and what are the challenges?
