After a momentous H1/2022, companies in China faced the double challenge of international turmoil and Covid lockdowns across China, and in Shanghai in particular. In the boardrooms of some companies this has resulted in a perception of uncertainty as far as China is concerned.

FinnCham Shanghai is pleased to join SwissCham that has invited InterChina to share insights and findings on their latest report 'China Investment and M&A Trends 2022'. The survey took place in the 2nd half of June and covered China/APAC CEO-level executives of 242 companies from a wide variety and countries, all with substantial presence in China.

The survey provides a more nuanced picture and shows that the very large majority (80%) of companies remain very committed to China, many of them following inorganic models (70% following one or multiple M&A deals). Data shows also how many companies are readjusting their corporate strategies to deal with the new uncertainties, such as diversifying production locations within China, sharing risk through partnerships and M&A, etc.

Join our webinar to explore more on H1 China investment and M&A updates where our two speakers, Eduardo Morcillo and Franc Kaiser from InterChina will share their conclusions and explain how multinationals are practically adapting and reshaping their corporate growth strategies in China for the next years to come.
