SwissCham has invited the members of FBCS to attend their SME Seminar. During this half-day event, we will discuss issues, opportunities and challenges that foreign companies face in China. The speakers cover the following topics:


How Technology in Retail Design helps to Enhance Customer Experience, by Samantha Chalmers, Client Manager for 5 Star Plus Retail Design in Shanghai


Samantha will shed light on the evolution of technology in retail design, identify the key strategic benefits, examine current examples in China's retail market and finally explain what this means for the future of retail design.



Legal Practice of Individual Dismissal in China - Case Study, by Cathy Qu, Vice-President & Senior Partner of Shanghai River Delta Law Firm


Cathy will explore the labor law through explanations and cases and elaborate on the best practices of employment management to mitigate risks when dismissing employees.



How Brick and Mortar Stores can Survive in Today's Online World, by Robin Trebbe, Managing Director of Intersport in Asia Pacific


Robin will talk about Intersport's experience in the Chinese market, which included a recent opening of a physical store in Shanghai. He will also give his view on China's market development in general, how he sees omni-channel and new retail play a role and what is next for the B2C landscape in the ever-changing markets.

Registration is binding and no-shows will be charged RMB 200 unless cancelled before the end-of-day of the final registration date.

With a background in international business, she is familiar with the differing implications of foreign operations including policy and strategy methods.
