China's Next Decade – New Growth Drivers, New Opportunities

The trade war with the US has dominated the economic agenda over the past two years in China. However, many other forces will shape China's development over the coming decade – and thus the opportunities for Nordic businesses. In this presentation, Danske Bank's Chief China Economist Allan von Mehren will take a look into the future and offer his view on where China is heading until 2030. Among other things, he will address the questions: Can China deliver the necessary reforms to move to the next level? Will the demographic development put a halt to the Chinese growth miracle? Or can China deliver the technological leap needed to overcome the headwind from an ageing population. He will also look at how big the Chinese middle class will become over the next decade? And which sectors he believes will deliver the highest growth rates.

Furthermore as special guest key note speaker, we are pleased to invite Andrew Polk, the Co-founder and Head of Economic Research at Trivium China (https://triviumchina.com/). In his presentation, he will focus on key policy trends over the next decade and impacts on the business environment -- with a specific eye toward the opportunities for foreign businesses.

A CEO panel will follow up the presentation. Confirmed CEO panelists: Mr.Simon Lichtenberg, CEO at Trayton Group, Mr. Wangqiu Song, President at Metsä Group China & Asia and Mr. Joakim Abeleen, Market Area Director Greater China at Business Sweden. The CEOs from Nordic countries will share their thoughts on China's development over the coming decade and also the opportunities for Nordic businesses.
