How Digital Transformation is Re-shaping China's Economy and Society?


Our world is entering a digital era and transcendental changes are taking place globally in terms of both economic and social development. What are the great opportunities and challenges ahead to embrace the digital transformation? How does the global ecosystem landscape look like among the leading countries and regions?


Due to the leading ICT industry capacity, extremely vigorous & autonomous internet service and vast market scale, China has been the top digital markets on par with the US. Digital transformation and industry upgrade have been identified as a Top government strategy to better position China in the globalization event. How well does China digital economy run as of today? What the national strategy like "Made in China 2025", "Internet plus" will do to change the industry landscape?


On the emerging technology frontline e.g. 5G, China is also committed to take the lead. How's 5G gonna enable the digital transformation in verticals? What has China planned to do, to bolster its ambition in the digital era? And how will that change the development trajectory of China's economy and society?


PRICE: Participation Fee for this event is 180 RMB for Members and 300 RMB for Non-Members. Breakfast included.

    Michael Chang

    CTO at Nokia Greater China

    Before the CTO role, Michael has been heading Industry Environment APAC of Bell-Labs, responsible for Nokia standardization and technical regulation in APAC region. He has over 17 years of managerial experience in multinational companies on ICT research & innovation, standardization and technology strategy.

    Starting with Lucent Technologies Bell-Labs as a senior researcher, Michael developed his professional career from defining key technologies for next generation communications networks, where he held a dozen of patents in US and China. Joining Nokia 13 years ago, he assumed the role to lead tech vision & strategy, standardization and technical policies, where he has made extensive contribution to drive the global mobile standard harmonization with China on major milestones. His focus is now on 5G, IoT, Cloud Computing, Open Source, Cybersecurity and the emerging tech trends e.g.ML/AI.

    Elected as Vice President and Exco Member of EUCCC (European Chamber of Commerce in China) in May 2017, Michael has been leading the high-tech policy dialogue between EU and China representing EU industry. He also serves as a member of the “EU-China Expert Group on Digital Economy & Cybersecurity” formed by China & EU authorities as the top dialogue platform on digital transformation.
