As China moves away from being a manufacturing-driven economy to a more consumption and service-driven model, traditional sourcing activities in China will evolve into a different category with new dimensions and focus.

This transition is expected to pose new challenges to sourcing managers and industry professionals around the world. In anticipation of these new challenges, Asia Perspective conducted a research project to understand the general consensus on how sourcing trends in China may change due to the transition. The project is based on a survey sent out in April 2018 to over 1,000 executives and purchasing managers of companies from over 30 different countries around the world.

We would like to share our findings to help leadership across procurement, supply chain and adjacent functions refine and successfully execute their business strategies in 2018 and beyond.

In this event you will learn:

  • The main sourcing markets and where China stands now and in the future
  • The main drivers, risks and channels for sourcing in China; What measures global organizations can take to address the relevant threats and best leverage on the opportunities
  • How international organizations can best set up their organizational structure and IT to effectively execute their sourcing activities in China
  • Success factors for building a winning sourcing strategy in China
