Marketing and PR in Paper Industry


Welcome sales and marketing working group members to our latest event with UPM.

We have a great speaker from UPM Stakeholder Relations, Ms. Mary Ma (Director, Stakeholder Relations). During her presentation Mary Ma will discuss how UPM has established itself as a leader in Sustainability in China.


UPM leads the forest-based bioindustry into a sustainable, innovation-driven, and exciting future across six business areas.

UPM create renewable and responsible solutions that replace fossil-based materials by making the most of residues and side streams. UPM rely on renewable and biodegradable raw materials to produce recyclable everyday items and materials. In China UPM has 5 businesses: UPM Specialty Papers, UPM Raflatac, UPM Pulp, UPM Timber and UPM Plywood.

    Mary Ma

    Director,Stakeholder Relations of UPM Specialty Papers

    In her role she is responsible for Marketing, Communications and Environmental Affairs for UPM Specialty Papers globally. Mary is also responsible for promoting the UPM Biofore – Beyond Fossils corporate brand across China and Asia Pacific.

    Mary first joined UPM in 2008. She has studied in Germany and received an MBA in International Management of Resource and Environment from the Freiberg University of Technology. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Nankai University.
